You must start the day early for this plan with a map, this is mostly including walking routes. Your first destination must be Fatih Mosque (the mosque named of the Istanbul Conquerer Fatih Sultan Mehmet) also district name. Following the tram line to the Grand Bazaar direction, you can arrive to Istanbul University building (this building also is worth to see), if you go on walking on the left way of university gate, you will reach the main street of Fatih district, after 15 minutes walking on this street you will arrive to Fatih Mosque. After the visiting of Fatih Mosque, follow the street which is in north of the Fatih Mosque, to the Yavuz Selim Mosque, this mosque is by another Ottoman Sultan. There is yard of the mosque, you can stop and have rest there, but when you look for the view from yard, you will see the oldest public area of Balat and Golden Horn, even you can see Taksim. If you walk to the east from Yavuz Selim Mosque you can visit the Zeyrek quarter and see the renovated old homes, but your route must be to the Golden Horn direction. You should arrive to sea side. When you arrive the Golden Horn, follow the cost till Fener Port. Fener district is also another old place and there are alot of things to see, for example you can find the easly Orthodox Church near the Port. You will easly realise a red building from area nearby port or church, it’s Fener Rum Orthodox college, that’s your new direction. After visiting college, follow the streets to Fethiye Mosque the other name is Maria Pammakaristos Church. Fethiye and draman streets are on the south of Fethiye Mosque, after Fethiye Mosque (Maria Pammakaristos Church) follow this street to the west till the Kariye Museum, other name is Chora Church. You can visit the Chora, after visit, near the Chora, there is a restaurant famaous with ottoman meals, name is Asitane Restaurant, you can have lunch there and get relax. The second part of plan is easier than the beforenoon part. After lunch at the Asitane, walk down to the golden horn sea side following the city walls. You can visit Tekfur Palace near the city wall. But on the way of Golden Horn you have to change your direction to Balat Port. When you arrive to Balat Port, get on the ferry to Eyup direction, it’s last stop. Then, get on cable car (teleferik) to climb the Pierre Lotti. Pierre Lotti is the top point of Istanbul European part and the view from hill is perfect over to the Golden Horn. There are some nice cafes in Pierre Lotti, you can get relax there. You can come back to Eyup by cable car again, and use ferry from Eyup till the Eminonu. Happy Finish…
